The Mar Doumith Convent was established in 1818 by the Antonine Order, following the request of Maronite Patriarch Youhanna Helu. In 1932, under Mother Isabelle Khoury, it became a training center for the Antonine Sisters and also opened as a school for girls. Our founder, currently on the path to beatification, dedicated herself to educating girls from nearby villages, especially those in need.
