The Monastery of Saint Doumit was established in 1818 under the auspices of the Antonine Order, at the behest of Maronite Patriarch Youhana Helal. In 1932, under the leadership of Mother Isabelle Khoury, who is on the path of beatification, the monastery underwent a significant transformation, evolving into a dedicated center for the training of Antonine nuns, while also opening its doors as a school for girls. Our institution continues this legacy, committed to providing educational opportunities to girls from local villages, with a particular focus on those in greatest need.
